TEST STUDY TIPS
At one point or another, we have been stressed about taking particular exams all because we did not prepare well for it. Personally, I do believe that test taking can be a lot easier when you employ a few simple tricks. First, your study location must be quiet and well lit. Studying should begin at least a month to the exam. Divide your studying into sections that are easily manageable, this way you will reduce your workload. Last minute study can be confusing when you do not know which areas to read. When this happens, use revision materials as they give an overall view and understanding of how the exams will be. Familiarize yourself with the exam style and answering techniques. This will boost your self-esteem, and the final paper will not be a challenge.
ORGANIZING YOUR IDEAS
When organizing your ideas, you should do so in a manner that will be easier to remember. Ideas can be organized in different ways depending on the subject you are studying. Most importantly, organize them into headings. This is because it is easier to remember two headings with eight elements than to remember twenty elements all together. So even if your headings are not so great, use anything that can help you remember all your materials. Finally, do not over study. The main reason students draw blanks is due to over studying. Just study long enough to be able to write what you have studied.
LAST MINUTE PREPARATION
Sometimes students are caught unaware about exams. This is the time when they realize that they have not studied for it. At this point, you have already panicked and do not know how to study. Well, there is one technique though that if used well can yield some results. CRAM. The key to cramming is memorization. This, however, cannot replace learning but in one way or another you need to have something to write. Otherwise, pray and hope for the best.
